Where Does Saffron Come From?

Our saffron is grown in the Khorasan region in the northwestern part of Iran without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The saffron crocus’s are harvested by hand in late November at first light and before the sun has a chance to penetrate the deep red threads. They are brought into the shade where the delicate saffron threads are removed one at a time by hand.
